The Net Zero Wine Bar

Genuine hospitality, serious wine, simply great food

The Net Zero Wine Bar is run by two people, full stop: one cook behind a tiny open kitchen, and one sommelier–winemaker in the room. They’re a married couple, and the place feels built around that intimacy—small, personal, and hands-on in a way that’s getting rare in Barcelona.

The wine offer is more than enough to make anyone happy. All types, styles and budgets. The real difference is the guidance: we tell them what we’re in the mood for, and they genuinely listen—answering questions, resolving doubts, and steering us with a mix of knowledge and warmth that we don’t find often.

Food is split between a cold section of premium staples (charcuterie, cheeses, anchovies, preserves) and cooked plates coming out of that miniature kitchen behind the bar. The dishes are simple, but they’re magnificent—clean flavors, good product, and that quiet confidence that doesn’t need tricks.

When the place is full, service can take a bit longer—but it’s the price we gladly pay to be served exclusively by the people actually responsible for the food and the wine. A hidden Barcelona jewel
