We moved to Barcelona a little over five years ago and have learned to speak Spanish pretty fluently. Our Catalan isn’t quite there yet—but it’s getting better.

After a few months of following some influencers and food magazines and realizing that basically their opinions are for sale, we decided to share our food and wine experiences in this incredible city to help visitors and just-landed-expats avoid wasting their time, money and expectations.

Barcelona is an amazing city, packed with great places to drink wine, grab a bite, or sit down for a proper meal. But it’s also full of traps—places built to empty your wallet with no merci while delivering underwhelming, forgettable experiences in return.
