Múrria
Century-old charm, sharp service, and a meal that doesn’t justify the bill
Colmado Murria is pure Barcelona postcard in the best way: a centenary space with real charm, gorgeous details, and that rare feeling of history you can actually sit inside. Walking in, we want it to be great.
The problem is what happens once we order. The food is normal—correct, pleasant enough—but it’s priced and presented as if it were something special. Instead of leaving impressed, we leave doing the quiet math of “was that it?” Wine doesn’t save the night either: the offer feels surprisingly underwhelming for a place with this much character, more filler than discovery.
Service adds the final friction. On our visit it felt curt and a bit cutting, which is a shame in a room that should feel welcoming and timeless. In the end, Murria is a beautiful setting asking premium money for an experience that lands closer to average than it should.
