Besta
A sharper, shinier Besta — aiming high, priced a touch higher
Besta cooks between two seas: a Galician–Catalan dialogue with a serious seafood focus, Atlantic depth meeting Mediterranean brightness. The style is modern tasting-menu dining—tight portions, clean technique, and a clear obsession with texture, iodine, and precise seasoning. When it hits, it’s elegant and focused, the kind of cooking that feels disciplined rather than performative.
Lately the place also feels “upgraded.” The room and the pacing read more polished, more intentional—like a restaurant making the kind of moves that usually come with one goal in mind. We get it, and we’re curious to see where it lands.
The only friction is value. It’s slightly overpriced for how subtle the emotional payoff can be: very correct, very well executed, sometimes more impressive than craveable. Still, it’s a strong table with serious ambition, and we’d happily come back—especially if the next version keeps the precision and adds a little more soul.
