Sin mala uva

Nothing wrong, nothing memorable

Sin Mala Uva is the kind of modern Barcelona wine bar that’s easy to like in the moment: clean room, calm energy, a list with enough range to keep everyone happy, and a general sense that the place is competently run. We don’t leave annoyed, because they’re not really missing any basics.

We also don’t leave excited. The wines are fine and occasionally interesting, but the selection doesn’t always translate into a clear point of view—so the experience stays polite instead of becoming a story. And the food doesn’t help. Nothing is offensively bad, it’s just… a little sad: support-act plates that feel like they exist to fill time between sips, not to make us crave a second round.

In the end, it lands as a bar that’s “correct” in every direction, which is its strength and its weakness. We can see why it works for an international crowd passing through. For us, it left that clean aftertaste of indifference.
