Something has shifted at Bardeni. For us, the scarcity of new dishes from chef Dani Lechuga was never the issue; we were always more than happy to return to his now-classic meat dishes, which continue to operate at an astonishing level. And yet, across two visits in 2026 — we are writing this at the end of March — we sensed an extra charge in the room, a flicker of joy that had not struck us in quite the same way before. Maybe the chef is moving through a particularly happy spell, or an especially creative one. Whatever the reason, we are all for it. This remains one of our favorite places in the world.
